Ruby's first sleepover

Babcha and Papa had an open house this weekend to show off their new granddaughter to all those in Eastern Iowa who haven't got to meet her yet.  It was fun for all to see the new house, the new baby, partake in yummy snacks, and toast Ruby's arrival.  Ruby's great grandfather Rudy had a bottle of whiskey that was never opened.  Throughout the years, there has been debate over when would be appropriate to open it.  Kevin and Helen decided they would wait for the first grandchild.  So we started the party off with shots of whiskey! :)  Later in the evening, the bottle of champagne from Kevin and Helen's wedding was opened as well... let's just say that it did NOT get better with age.  Not one bubble left! :(

This weekend also gave her the chance to meet her Uncle Erik.  Erik is already fulfilling his job of buying Ruby noisy toys that will drive her mom and dad nuts... although, the personalized puppy who sings about her favorite food (milk) and her name is pretty darn cute.  Ruby was so good as everyone took their chance to hold our sweet girl.  There was so much to see and hear!  She was wiped out by seven-thirty.  Her mama made her eat a little at 10 ( as well as you can eat and sleep at the same time!) and then she was out til 5:30am.  Successful first sleepover I would say.

Sunday, she had a quieter day with Babcha, as mom and dad took advantage of an opportunity to golf... who knows how many of those we will get this year!  She is such a good girl.  The only thing we really worry about when we are away is whether we left enough food.  She may be little, but don't let that fool you - the girl likes to eat!

Anyway, here are a few pictures - some from the weekend and a few from last week.
